"Disappearing" headers exporting to a Excel 2016 table from Toad 12.8

I’m using Toad 12.8’s Export Dataset in format Excel File, and have selected “include column headers”. Once in Excel 2016 I’m using Ctrl-L (Create Table) to apply a table style and filters. The column headers then “disappear” because the font color and the background color are now identical. The workaround is to apply a table style that does not have a title row. Unfortunately I cannot set that as a default: while Excel 2016 offers that option, it has no effect.

Can this be fixed by a tweak to Toad’s settings?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Unfortunately not. Coincidentally, I just found about this yesterday and fixed it. The fix will appear in the first beta for 12.10.

As a workaround, you could use the “Excel Instance” export option (then you’d have to save the file yourself from Excel)
