Why can’t I change the colour of the syntax in the editor, this seems like a very common feature in any editor these days.
What do you mean by “color of the syntax in the Editor”? Please
check Options > Editor > Highlighting Styles:
If it’s not what you’re looking for then please give more specifics.

My mistake, missed that completely!! I had a demo yesterday and the
demo’er didn’t know how to change it either.
