I recently updated the formatting of Number/Integer to a custom format and the formatting doesn’t export to excel. However, when you use a built in format it does export to excel. Is this a bug or done by design?
The format option in Environment > Grid only applied to grid display, export wizard has its own format in “Select columns” page. This is by design.
This is using the quick export feature not export wizard. If you change the formatting of the grid and use quick export it will keep that formatting in the excel file.
We use custom format in export wizard if there’s any, otherwise, we will use format defined in grid options. However, we only use built in format and ignore the custom format user entered. This applied to both quick export and export wizard. I opened QAT-4153 for this issue.
