Export BLOB to File

Hello,

In the past I have used the Single Column Export option to export HTML text stored in a BLOB to a .doc file. This has worked in TOAD 12.1.

I am on a different machine that has TOAD 13.1 installed, and when running the same process, the file is exporting; however, the HTML is not being converted in the .doc file. Instead it just shows up as HTML encoding/text. It is also worth noting that I am using a trial version.

Question for you all:

  1. Any changes in 13.1 that could be causing this?
  2. Is this a limitation of the trial version?
  3. Any suggestions on how to resolve?

I'm not aware of any reason why it wouldn't work any more. Do you have sample of one of the files? You can send it to john.dorlon@quest.com.

For what it's worth....I just tried this...putting a HTML file into a BLOB, then exporting with Single Column Export to a DOC file. It seemed to work OK for me other than some less-than-perfect formatting from MS word. I used MS Word 365 and the HTML was just a HTML table export produced by Toad.

Has anything changed besides Toad? Like the HTML content itself or MS Word settings or version?
