I just upgraded to TOAD 12.0.0.61 and kept my 10.5.1.3 install. One thing that is different is the focus symbol (a vertical line) is not shown when I double click in a data-grid column. In 10.5.1.3 this vertical line shows right away to the left of the first column. In 12.0.0.61 it does not show at all even if I click anywhere in the text. I can highlight the part of the text and it is copied to a buffer. Of note, I can go to the HEX tab and then back to TEXT tab and then click somewhere in the text, and the vertical line will show - it never shows up by default. The vertical line always shows in the HEX tab. Is this normal?
This is a known issue and the solution to the problem has been elusive. There is no workaround other than the one you have found.
