How do you link an Excel named range to an Oracle table?

Everytime that I import an excel file and join it with any oracle table I alwasy get the following error message.

[Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver] Reserved error (-7778); there is no message for this error.

Is there a rule of thumb on how to connect with multiple databases?

That is a general error that is given by Access. We use Access in the base edition to do cross-queries. It is not very robust. Please dowload the Beta and give cross-query a try there.
