How to change default (Universal) attribute data type

Boohoo - I just know this post is gonna get smashed, but…

Where do I change the default attribute data type (for the Universal model) - it’s set to Char(1) which seems entirely pointless?

I’ve looked in Template Editor, looked in Defaults, looked in Dictionary, looked in Package Explorer.

I’ve probably ended-up in the right place once, but it wasn’t obvious where to make the change

Hi Greg,

Go To Main Menu - Settings - Options. You get option dialog. In left side you will see tree, go to Model-Universal branch and there are “Default Data Type” field.
