How to output the currently executed (oiut of 1000) DDL statement? Progress indicator?

I have a DDL script with thousand of DDL statements (CREATE TABLE, ALTER TABLE,…)
When I start executing the script in Toad then it lasts for hours.

How can I let Toad output the currently executed DDL statement resp. output the current percentage of already finished DDL
statements (in the output window) ?

Ben

Is this what you’re looking for?

Options > Scripts “Limit results to x rows”

Or perhaps starting your script with "SET ECHO ON"?

Disclaimer: Oh, it's a solar storm -- I thought it was a different "s" word.

Is this what you're looking for?

Options > Scripts "Limit results to x rows"

If it’s not giving any progress, then it’s still trying to parse the script but
it shouldn’t take hours…minutes maybe, but not hours. You don’t happen to have
script debug turned on do you (SCRIPTDEBUG = 1 in toad.ini)?

Please remove from the distribution list

Hi,

how can i be remove from the distribution list

thanks,

Hi Pierre,

how can i be remove from the distribution list

I assume it's the email you're receiving from the Toad list that you want
stopped?

Just click on the "unsubscribe" link at the very bottom right hand side of
the emails you get from the Toad list. If your email is plain-text and
there is also no option in your email to unsubscribe (the link is also in
the email header), send an email from the account you want unsubbed to
"toad-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com".

Hope this helps! Sorry to see you go!

Look to the very bottom of this email, under the Yahoo groups label there is an
Unsubscribe link. Click it.

Morning Ben,

How can I let Toad output the currently executed DDL
statement resp. output the current percentage of already
finished DDL statements (in the output window) ?
Not sure about the output window, but look at the editor window where I
presume the script is showing - do you notice that the current statement
being executed is highlighted in there and the editor window scrolls
down as each statement executes?

Also, do you not see a pop-up dialog showing you that Toad is running
"task n of nnn statements"? I do.

I've checked the various options available, and none of them (that I can
find) have made these two features go away - so I'm surprised that you
don't see them.

I presume you are executing your script with F5 or the Execute as script
button?

Cheers,
Norm. [TeamT]
