how to really cancel sybase queries?

When I cancel sybase queries it seems that the query does not cancel until rows start to return. At least executing a query and canceling it runs the same length of time as just letting it run and not canceling it. Is there a way to cancel a sybase query so that it stops the execution in the database?

Using TDA 2.5

Sorry for the inconvenience, unfortunately this is an issue with the Sybase ADO.NET driver. I’ve created a small test case for Sybase technical support and I will update this thread as soon as I hear back from them.
