My IT department installed the 32-bit version of Toad for DB2, even though I have a 654-bit operating system. Is there much of a risk to uninstall the 32-bit version and install the 54-bit version? I have downloaded my connections, filters, code snippets, and the 64-bit IBM Client.
Paul,
yes - you can uninstall your 32-bit Toad DB2 and install the 64-bit Toad DB2 with no issues as long as you have the IBM DB2 64-bit client.
Your Toad DB2 settings will be preserved in your application data directory - for example:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for DB2 6.5
and will be used by the 64-bit Toad…
