i am wondering how can i open a new tab from keyboard,
plz tell me the shortcut

main menu -> help -> contents
then index tab (2nd tab), type shortcut keys
you will see many topics under this - including print list, customize them, and general
2nd option
main menu -> view -> toad options
goto toolbars & menus -> shortcuts
now scroll down into editor section to find & define the keys you like
