Null Column COLOR

There is a null column text option in TOAD 11 and 10 I think. However, In prior
releases, there was a null column COLOR option or something like that?

I think it was much more useful. Are there any plans on bringing it up?

The issue with column text option for me is that no matter I put in, it might
show up in the real data…

The grids are much more customizable than ever before, so it’s not as
simple as it used to be to turn this feature on.

Options -> Data Grids -> Visual -> Edit Styles -> Edit -> select
‘Nulls’ in the list on the left -> check the “Color”
checkbox and click the ‘…’ button to choose your color.

Then OK your way out of all that.

It’s still available, thank Quest, but buried and undocumented.

Click View/Options. Then highlight Visual under Data Grids. Click Edit Styles.

On the Styles screen click Edit.

In the Style Editor highlight Nulls and click the ellipsis box next to Color.

Choose your favorite color and OK your way back out. J If you wish, you can use
it in combination with some text, say “NULL” or something less
obvious.
