Object creation SHOULD BE supported for Hadoop

We currently use Ambari UI for querying the Hive tables which has obvious limitations. We would like to use TPD to run our commands for a common UI for our developers however not all of the syntax is supported. The inability to have objects created as CTEs is significantly reducing our ability to use the TDP and are looking at other tools now.
I would be grateful if we could run the exact same query language that is used on Hive via Ambari in TDP.
