HIVE2.0 Queries
When looking at the hive tables from TDP I am seeing different tables that what are available from the Ambari Hive 2.0 Query listing. I had to remove the connection and re-add it for new tables to show up but there are several which are not showing the correct names.
Why does TDP show a different listing of tables than what is available in Hive 2.0 queries?

For new added tables cannot shown in TDP table list, you can try TDP’s refresh feature, select one item(table) in the active Hive connection, right click mouse and then try “Refresh Schema” and “Refresh All”, these should let you see the new added tables.
For not showing correct table names issue, maybe it is related to long table name , we need to some test in our QA env, will give you result soon.

Thank you, I did try to refresh schema and to refresh all but same results are found.

I understand this issue has to do with long names on a Hive table. I have entered QAT-12497 for this issue

We don’t have any public facing ticket update system. You can ask for a periodic update on the forum. I scheduled this fix for TDP 4.5 etc june 2018.
