cannot widen columns to make the data visible. Was this way in r1, installed r2, still the same.
doh! yep, that did it. Why couldn't I manually resize the columns i wonder?

the only thing I can think of is maybe the band, which contains all of the columns, was limited to the total size of all of the columns, so there was no room to expand. You can't see the band though, so there wasn't really any way for you to know about it.
anyway, I'm glad it's working again.
