RE: RE: Unable to change datatype on SQL Server 2008 (Every please Read)

Jon, I hope this email finds you well..

I am using 5.6 right now and will be doing a lot of what you have reported. So
this is an important issue for me since I have 50 some table to alter one way or
another today..

Can you send me either thru the board or personally what you are doing via a
screen snap shot, so I can make sure I know what is causing the problem for
you…

Bottom Line: I want so see if I can reproduce your issue. I also want you to
check your display settings.

Details:

My goal here is to find out if this is an issue on 5.6, I am done with
5.5… If I can make it fail on 5.6 then I want to go back to this email set
an say reproducible, which will help Alex and Valentin from chasing ghosts from
one user that they can not reproduce. If they get a confirmation, then they
might have something to deal with and quickly.

I am trying not to send them ghost issue and back in the summer, I had a several
issue with 5.5 that were all related to using other than Smaller on my Display
setting. I Have no idea when I set my display to Medium but I know it did it
because I wanted a larger view of toad and other things on my screen… Well
I completely torpedoed Toad-SS 5.5 and this obscure issue in Dot.net was found
by one of their developers and the problem when Pooff (went away)… Before
we found the real Dot.net problem, I got a lot of Toad-SS resources involved and
it was even suggested by development that I reload my Toshiba notebook…
Well that just wasn’t going to happen… Valentin owes me a bottle of
Russian Vodka for that request.

Bottom Line: I want so see if I can reproduce your issue. I also want you to
check your display settings.
