refresh display

How to I refresh all of the windows that I’m working in? For instance the schema browser, or thedatabase browser, anything and everything that may need updating.

Thanks

Kathleen

I forgot to mention that I’m using Toad for Oracle Version 12.1.0.22

Most windows have a refresh button on their toolbar.

Hi John, thanks for the reply, however I do not seem to find a refresh button of any kind on the schema browser, nor on the main set of icons for Toad for Oracle 12.1

The Schema Browser has three refresh buttons - circled in the screenshot below. Starting from the left, the first one refreshes the entire Schema Browser. The 2nd refreshes the current object type. The 3rd refreshes the currently selected object (that is, the object showing on the right hand side).

Hi John, thank you for the reply, my schema browser looks like this there are no little refresh buttons on it, what have I done wrong?

Toad12 schemaBrowser.jpeg

Your schema browser is in treeview mode, that’s why it looks different. The buttons should still be off to the right somewhere. It’s possible that the Schema Browser is larger than the main window of Toad If you double-click on the Schema Browser’s toolbar, that will maximize it and then you should see the buttons.

Also, F5 is a shortcut for refresh in the Schema Browser.

Ahh, thank you again John, and for your patience. That finally got it for me!
