I can add the same tables or relatinship to different workspaces. But I would like to do the same with notes. For example I make a note, what kind of values a status column can have, I want this one note linked to the table and in every workspace I add the table, I would like to have the same note. maybe thats possible already, but cannot find it.
thanks for that info, thats a way to add a note to a workspace, a very simple one. Normaly I right click on a workspace and then “Add Selected Object to Workspace”, I could not find the notes there.
another thing, in workspace format I can show or hide the indexes, but besides the graphical key, I dont find anything to hide the keys. Any help for that ?
There is the checkbox Display Keys Graphically and Display Level where you can select only Entities. However, it is not possible to display only attributes without the keys (key attributes).
Please see the options in the Display Level box.
Sorry.
thanks for the replay, maybe in any future version it will be possible, makes a lot of sense to me. one more hint, notes with the “recalculate size” option have the same problems like tables with shadows, the size is too small, cause of the borders / shadows.
In Beta 3.6.1.6 there was a change - Default size for Notes decreased.
(Notes were much larger than entities, which didn’t look well for very short notes.)
Now there is a problem with the blue shadow if the Note has more than three lines. - The last line is covered with the shadow. We will fix it. CR 76 939.
However, what problem with the tables do you mean? Shadows of tables are displayed out of the table box. Thanks for an example/screenshot.
you have problems with the shadow effect and the relationship symbol on the shadow side. I made a screenshot of it. When not wrong I mentied it already in another post. the symbol of the relationship is still ad the border line of the table box, but not at the shadow. thats why the shadow covers most of the symbol.
we do not have problems with the shadow effect In TDM version 3.6 BETA you can right click the entity and select Arrange -> Send to back. The relationship line will be fully visible.
my question would be is the default behavior, that shadows dont cover any lines ? cause that would be what I am looking for. dont want to right click every time I am moving entities around…
We will see what we can do about it. CR 77 227.
Current workaround: What Vaclav suggested (the Arrange option in v. 3.6.x) or turn off the shadow of entities (WS Format | Shape | Shadow Effect).
