SDI, Dual Monitors and Undocking Issues

I think I mean SDI, it has been a long time since I’ve paid attention to the terminology.

I have my Toad set up so that everything is in a separate window and I can have my schema browser on one monitor and the editor on another one, etc. NOT the traditional way Toad has allowed. I have multiple monitors.

Today I hibernated my computer and unplugged it from the dock. When I woke it back up, all the associated Toad windows were off the screen. I was able to get the focus on my Editor window and move it using Alt Space, but I can’t get a handle on the main Toad “window”. When I press F8 to show my SQL History, I can’t get the window to show up on my laptop screen.

I’m not sure if you have a solution you can implement, but if you could do something, it would allow me to undock without having to actually shut my computer down, which would be very helpful.

I am running Windows 10, a new-this-summer Dell XPS laptop with a Dell dock and the latest beta.

Blessings,

Phyllis

I think it might. I'll be sure to try it next time this happens, which will probably be later today.

Thanks Norm! This is a much better option than closing Toad before I undock.
