I am getting error when connecting sales force from Toad.
Do we require the security token from Sales force even if we connect with in the company network?
Please advice
I don’t know about Sales Force, but in general, if your Oracle Client is configured right, and you can connect via SQL*Plus, then you should also be able to connect via Toad. If you can’t, then please post the details of the error message
The last time I worked with Salesforce, it was a cloud-based hosted-only solution. They didn’t allow the capability of hosting your own site or data internally. If that’s still true, they might not allow you to connect directly to their back-end database from a remote tool. You might need to query data through their web services API and do your work that way.
