I am trying to set up a connection to a Snowflake instance via the Snowflake ODBC Driver.
No matter what I try, I get the message to 'Install a 64 bit Snowflake ODBC Driver when trying to create the connection.
I have, however, been able to use the ODBC driver to build a connection in Excel.
Any ideas are appreciated.
Message implies that may have installed the 32-bit version of the Snowflake ODBC driver, and not the 64-bit version. Note that your SnowFlake driver might work for Excel if you have 32-bit Excel, even if running in 64-bit Windows OS. Usually for ODBC and other communication drivers, bitness between the driver and the application must match.
I can see it could be easy to miss the distinction on the Snowflake website...
Note also that any Snowflake driver later than 2.24.2 should work.
