TDP Base Edition is not showing the syntax checks while entering SQL code in 4.3.0.718 (64-bit). When using Editor / Check Syntax, all syntax is coming back as having no errors
When comparing against my old set-up - 4.1.0.226 (32 bit) , all settings match for the Syntax Checks
From the 4.1 machine, the same simple query shows the error

you're right it was not working in 4.3 but I could not reproduce in TDP 5.0.7 base edition. Please try with some of our new builds.

With the help of the release notes for TDP 5.0, I was able to find the solution.

I enable the Show pop ups, and the automatic syntax checking now works, as far as I can tell, as it did in 4.1.
