TOAD 10.1.1.8 editor problem

A co-worker is getting an error anytime he types the first character in a new
sql editor or when he loads a file into the sql editor. We just reinstalled toad
but kept his user files directory (by renaming it back after the install
completed) thinking it would help but it didn’t. Is there somewhere else I can
look to help solve this problem?

Application:

Have you tried without the retained user files? This will tell us if this error
is coming from a corrupt user file or a bad option at least.

I suggest to simply rename Toad’s main app data folder, then start Toad

We need the entire Toad.elf file as well which can be found in the Toad
application data folder. On XP it will be in a folder similar to…
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Quest Software\Toad for
Oracle\10.0

Michael

We just renamed the directory and and started Toad and everything seems to be
working fine now. We then copied over just a few files (toad.ini,
connections*.ini, and a few others) and things still appear fine. He’s ok with
this since he doesn’t use any custom filtering or templates or anything like
that.

Thanks for the help!

David

No problem David. Can you still send the old user files off line if you
don’t mind. I’d like to try to figure out what caused this.

Thanks
