Toad Beta 12.5.0.7 gets stuck on "Checking for critical files..."

I had the same problem so I uninstalled the beta and have not used it for some month…

Today I reinstalled Beta ver. 12.5.0.58 to test it but I run into same problem

Checking for critical files …

Toad Beta 12.5.0.99 gets stuck on “Checking for critical files…”

when ever I try start Toad it gets stuck displaying screen saying “Checking for critical files…”

The screen disappears when clicked, but the Toad.exe remains running.

Have you tried any of the suggestions in this thread? Install Toad outside of your program files directory or run as administrator. We’ve got this issue fixed
for our next release
