Toad crash when table/recordset size is too large

Sorry for the snark, but it’s 2016. Shouldn’t TOAD be able to NOT crash when the data returned from a query is really large? Can’t it just stop loading with an error? Right now, it pops up an error but DOES NOT STOP LOADING, so you get error after error after error, and eventually have to kill the process via Task Manager. ARG!

We should be able to do better than this.

Sorry for your inconvenience. Can I ask which version are you using?

I’m using 6.7.0.176, but it’s done this on every version (Oracle and SQL) that I’ve ever used.

We can kill the process in View | Background Processes. Is this work for you?

And can I know the what’s the pop up error message said? Would you like to provided a screenshot?

Thank you.
