TOAD crashes with exception code 0xc0000005

Toad crashes with the below error after trying to run a query after a connection is disconnected.
Recent changes in the system

  1. changed the TNS_ADMIN path from network directory to local directory
  2. added the file oraaccess.xml to the TNS_ADMIN path as per MOS Note: 2766592.1

We have had problems in the past if OraAccess.XML is present and empty or incorrect.

I looked at the 2766592.1. Are you using oraaccess.xml exactly as listed there? There are some bad line breaks in the file listing on that MOS doc. Does it work if you fix them?

Specifically, these lines should be part of the line before them:

I can't reproduce the problem but fixing those line breaks would be the first thing I'd try. If that doesn't help, then can you just use Toad in no-client mode?
