Hello Larry,

Toad Data Modeler has its own community - www.toadworld.com/…/f

Would you please post your future requests there.

Meantime we will look and get back to you.

Regards,

Lenka

Hi Larry,

First, please tell us your Toad Data Modeler version and whether you run it on a physical machine or a virtual machine. We have seen this error in the past and it was related to insufficient write permissions, so you might want to see if you have the necessary permissions. After installing TDM, you should have write permissions for the following folders:

*C:\Users{user name}\Documents
C:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Roaming\Dell\Toad Data Modeler\ *

Also, please create a TDM start log and either attach it here or send it to my email (lukas.knapek@quest.com). To generate the log:

  1. Open a Command Line and navigate to the Toad Data Modeler Bin folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Dell\Toad Data Modeler 5.5\Bin). Use the following command to launch TDM and create a start log:
    **TDM.exe Start-Log

  1. The start log should be generated in the Bin folder - Start TDM Log.txt.

Note: If the log is not generated, you probably don't have write permissions to the Bin folder either.

Regards,

Lukas
