Toad Data Point - Export to Linked Query Failure

Hello,

I recently upgraded from Toad Data Point 5.0 to 6.0 and attempted to perform a routine Export to Excel Instance Linked Query and it failed which it wasn't doing prior to upgrade. Apart from the upgrade nothing else has occurred.

The error message is as follows:

Unable to execute linked query.
Excel returned the message: "Exception from HRESULT: 0x800A0CE3"
Error code: 800A0CE3 Export is cancelled

Does anyone know why this routine action inexplicably failed ? I still have both versions of Toad Data Point loaded on my computer. Would that have anything to do with it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the TDP forum, BTW.

It appears that this is a known issue in the latest release, as there was a Support Knowledge Base article that describes exactly your situation.

Appears there is no work-around for now, at least not when using a linked query. Stay tuned for the next release which is within a few months.
