We are the owners of a block of Toad for Oracle perpetual licenses that will have support ending in the near future. We are fully aware of the restrictions of not having support (no application support, no downloads, version lock when support ends), but can you please explain and/or provide documentation that details the ability and/or restrictions of registering a license key after support has ended?
Hi there - can you tell me what you mean by license registration ? Are you referring to registration on the support portal (support.quest.com)?
Let me re-phrase: We have Toad for Oracle perpetual licensing that we have not used and has support expiring in the near future. If we do decide to use these licenses, will we encounter any problems using the license keys at installation after support has ended? (and understanding that we are locked into the version of Toad when support ended)
You will not encounter any issues using the keys with the installers you acquired when on maintenance. Letting your maintenance lapse will only prevent you from downloading newer versions of Toad for Oracle and getting help from support.
Debbie…thank you very much for this information!!
