Hi,
My Company is currently using Toad for Oracle for its DB Development - mainly PL SQL solutions. They are now considering switching to the Free (Community) version of DBeaver.
I tried for a bit and I kind of hate it ... Maybe its just preference and I didn't get it a chance to get accustomed to it ...
Can you please help me find some reasons for which this change should not happen? Some functionality that Toad has but the others not so I can maybe convince my guys to keep using Toad?
Thanks a lot!
Marius
I've been an Oracle DBA for 30 years and for 20 years I was jealous of the programmers that used TOAD. Benthic Golden was adequate, but TOAD always had much more.
Toad for Oracle is the best database tool that money can buy. The Database Schema Browser supports over 20 of the database object types in the Oracle catalog. This is the standard that all other database tools try to meet.
If you want to use something free, try Oracle SQL Developer. I don't use it much but it seems to do the job.
