Toad for SQL Server Freeware Licensing

Hi,

I just downloaded Toad for SQL Server Freeware 6.6 and I noticed that the “Compare” menus under “Tools” are disabled due “Not Licensed”.

But according to the Functional Matrix here (http://www.toadworld.com/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-10/Toad-SS-Feature-Matrix.png) the funtionality should be available in free version.

How can I enable this menu or get the free license?

Hi Guppo,

if I remember correctly in version freeware of TOAD for SSQL Server, schema compare , data compare and server compare menu voice aren’t active because these features aren’t present in freeware version of TOAD for SQL Server.

if you want use/test these features you have two possibilities :

  1. Use/download bets version of TOAD for SQL Server 6.8. from http://www.toadworld.com/products/toad-for-sql-server/toad_for_sql_server_beta_program/

  2. Download trial version of TOAD for SQL Server 6.7 from https://support.quest.com/toad-for-sql-server/6.7 .
