Does Toad for Oracle DBA module can be installed on USB drive and work on windows 7 ? With starting of Windows 7 on IT, the securities are changed its pain .

This blog below is a bit outdated and may or may not work for you. I will be updating this blog in the near future. Give it a try. Note that this Cameyo tool
basically copies your toad install off your PC and the registry settings required into a self-contained EXE that can then be run off a flash drive. So you install to your PC as normal and this thing watches/copies what’s needed.

However I have found a note below saying “As of Toad for Oracle v11.6 the ability to run Toad off a USB flash drive appears to no longer work. We’ll continue to investigate and will post an update if we figure it out.”
Since we are on 12.1 . Does this will work ?
Another question on your old post : will this method will work for 12.1 ?

I was not able to get it to work with 11.6 nor 12.0. I did not retest for 12.1 – but I suspect the answer is still no. Our dev team will be updating some components
during the next beta cycle which I think are the root of the problem – so when the beta starts and the suspect component has been replaced I will retest and post my findings.
