How do you know your database type with the optimizer? I see general (oltp or mixed), data warehouses, general (disable hints).
There's no Oracle parameter for that. It's more of a question for you - "how is your database used?", If you aren't sure, ask your DBA.
If you aren't sure, you could go with general. The "disable hints" bit, I believe instructs SQL Optimizer to not use optimizer hints when it is trying to improve your SQL.
