The connection manager for TOAD subscription sucks. The import could only import 1 connection per user. We have multiple databases that have the same schema (user) name. The database name separates our environments. Also, we have lost all color coordination. I have 29 connections all color coordinated, so I can see dev, schema1, dev schema2, etc very easily. Now I have to look down a list in font of 6 and try to find a connection
In addition, when I close a connection with the editor open, the editor for that connection does not close, like it did in the other version. I believe that all open objects should close when the connection is closed. This can be dangerous if you use multiple sessions.

Sorry to here the challenges with importing of databases. I tried the export/import option of version 2.0 with different Oracle connections using the same user/schema (Quest) and it seems to work OK for me. All connections were imported to the new Toad Data Studio install and color properties were also imported Ok.
If you can provide more details to help us identify the issue. For example, were you importing from and older version of Toad Data Studio?
We’ve logged a product change for the request to close associated open Editors and windows at the time of connection disconnect with user consent and add a settings in preferences options - ID# IMTDS-3730

I was told the version of TOAD that I was using is an “add on” version and not the subscription version I was supposed to be using. The version I was complaining about may not include color coded connection manager options. I apologize for the mishap. However, this capability will enhance the version I was complaining about. Color coding connections and having them completely shut down when the connection is closed are very useful capabilities. I have been a TOAD user since it was first released, and I really care about the product. It has always been leaps and bounds over SQL Developer!
