I turned on autocommit awhile ago. For what I am doing I would like to turn it off. I found this in google.
Global Setting: Go to View > Toad Options > Oracle > Transactions and check the box for "Commit after every statement".
I am not seeing this option. Can someone please provide a screenshot? Is this option not available in older versions?
Quick Toggle: Click "Auto Commit OFF" in the bottom-left status bar to switch it to ON.
After you turn off the autocommit option do you have to logout or do anything for that option to take effect?
You should be able to use the search in options to find it - search for commit. Then you can double-click the search result to go right to it.
At one point we removed it but then later had to bring it back. If you let me know which version you are using I will let you know exactly where it is
16.2.98.17.41 is the version.
Do you know about the question at the end?
After you turn off the autocommit option do you have to logout or do anything for that option to take effect?
In 16.2 the option is here:
The option takes effect immediately. No need to restart or reconnect Toad.
I think the "Quick Toggle" comment that your search result is referring to is from a very old version. It is no longer available.
