A few years back I attended a couple of meetings organised by Quest - even had my photo taken with a lifesize Toad!
Do these still get organised from time to time?
Is there anything due or planned?

You are correct, in that Quest used to organize Toad seminars throughout various cities in north America.
We haven’t done these for a few years. I can’t speak for our Marketing department’s agenda for this year, but I will ping them with your inquiry.
Many thanks Gary. I appreciate that and look forward to hearing their response.
For what it’s worth I think physical gatherings can add real value and help create a community!
Hi Jeremy,
Thank you for asking. We do not have plans to host a Toad Roadshow at this time; however, we do plan to sponsor and present at many OUGs and other regional database and DevOps events this year.
We’re also planning a virtual Toad Day event mid-year, in addition to our typical educational webcasts.
Thanks,
Nicole Tamms, Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Toad Solutions
Yeah, you gotta watch out for those things… we had a weak Oracle Users group here in Nashville years ago and they had a “presentation” one night on Toad that I attended. “Attended” being defined as the marketing guy that barely knew how to start the tool ended up basically turning the presentation over to me because I as part of the beta team could answer the questions and show tips and tricks that he was completely oblivious to. LOL

Nashville…hmmmm…maybe I’ll have to look out for something there. I’ve heard it’s a fun town! [;)]
Although years ago, I attended an OAUG there in Nashville… nice attendance, and I had a technical session spot that we well-attended.
BTW, if it’s a Toad-specific seminar, we get the software consultants–and sometimes the software engineers–involved in demonstrating Toad and its solution family. Not sure who the “marketing guy” was, but sorry you had to endure that.
Eh… it wasn’t so bad. I was able to answer their questions and it made me look pretty good. lol
