Hi,
When I VM Show Version the model name is shown with the version, eg “mod1 (1.2)”.
When I rename the model (eg “ABC”) and save the file (eg abc.txp), the “(1.2)” is retained.
The version should be removed as it now has no meaning. How can I remove it?
Regards
Malcolm
Hi Malcolm,
model name is shown with the version, eg "mod1 (1.2)".
I'm not quite sure I understand well.
Example:
I have a model in VM. It has some versions. However, version number is not shown in the model name. The tree looks like this:
Project1
- Videorental.txp
- 1.0
- 1.1
- 1.0
When I rename the model name here, it will change properly.
BUT, when I open the List of Versions, there's still the old model name.
Is this the issue?
Although I'm not sure as you write:
The version should be removed as it now has no meaning. How can I remove it?
Malcolm, thanks in advance for your further explanation.

Hi,
I’ve captured my steps in the attached zip file.
As you can see once I change the model name in App View to “abc”, it becomes “abc (1.0)”. If I create a New Model, I can rename it to “abc” and its name becomes “abc”.
the version is no longer relevant.

Is it sufficient for you to modify the Model - Stamp properties?
Hello Malcolm,
Thanks for your explanation. Now it’s definitely clear.
The fact that the version number is part of the model name is correct. - It’s information on origin of the model.
If you like to remove it (or possibly add other version numbers to the model name), please select Model | Stamp and see the Version box. Delete the version number from there.
Note: CR # 43 816 for model right-click option to Edit Version Information in Appl. View has been created.
