Easiest workaround is CTRL+Shift+C instead of CTRL+C. That will bring up Export Dataset dialog in Delimited format, with "clipboard" selected. You may need to change some of the settings. Right-click on the "Columns to exclude" dropdown and choose "Include only selected columns".
