All,
Unfortunately, I’ve just had another access violation while terminating Toad beta 56
All sessions already had been closed, then I decided to shut Toad down entirely.
And - believe it or not - I got another Access Violation
Please see attached errorlog for details.
Kind regards,
Abe Kornelis

Which Oracle Client version are you using?
Were you in the Session Browser by chance?
John,
I connected to an arbitrary server and got:
** ORACLE CLIENT INFORMATION
Oracle Client Version : 11.2.0.1
Oracle Client DLL : D:\app\admin\product\11.2.0\client_1\BIN\oci.dll
TNSNAMES.ora Location : \vsv1f40\tnsnames$\tnsnames.ora
NLS_LANG : DUTCH_THE NETHERLANDS.WE8MSWIN1252
SQLPATH : D:\app\admin\product\11.2.0\client_1\dbs

Dennis,
When the AV occurred, I had been connecting and disconnecting dozens of sessions, in each session I had been using the editor and the schema browser. I do not recall using the session manager during that timeframe (but human memory is a feeble thing…)
Anyway, as stated above, I first disconnected all sessions without problem. Then, after all sessions had ended, I shut down Toad and got the AV. So at the time of error there were no active sessions.
Abe
