Hi,
Apparantly it;s been a year that I installed Toad For SQL Server 7.2.
Today I got the infamous message: All licenses have expired.
The latest version I can find on the web is 7.2 (which I already had), I'm guessing the new version will be 7.3, but I cannot find it.
This is not the first time, I can now not use Toad for SQL until this new version is released.
The previous time this took a couple of days.
Can anyone tell me where and when the new version is availabale for download.
Kind regards,
Clemens Linders

Effective immediately, Toad for SQL Server Free Edition is no longer available. Given that the Free Edition has officially expired for all users, we do recognize that this is a rather late announcement for the change and apologize that we did not deliver the message sooner.
Quest is offering a special one-time offer, good through August 31st, 2021, that will allow any Toad for SQL Server Free Edition user to purchase a single, one-year term license of Toad for SQL Server Professional Edition at 70% off. Click here to access the coupon on the Quest eStore.
If you would like to review the differences between the Free and Professional Edition, you can find those here, but also know that every Free Edition user is entitled to also try the Professional Edition, which can be download for a 30-day trial here.

Hi @Richard.Schiller ,
I am experiencing this same issue with Toad for DB2 v7.2 as well. Are you no longer offering the free edition for DB2 also?
Kind Regards
I had been using Toad for SQL for a very long time.
And than to receive such a simple answer that they simply quit the free version, to me that shows some contempt for their own user base.
I think their programmers are quite capable of sending every user a message something like a month before. Instead they choose that each user gets confronted with this in a very unpleasant way.
I switched to dbeaver, it will take some getting used to but I think it has all the functionality that I am looking for.

Hi Clemens,
I do understand that you are disappointed about elimination of the freeware edition, and especially about the (beyond) late notification. I can assure you that there was no internal meeting in which we looked for ways to be contemptuous to our freeware users. The late arriving notification was simply an oversight. As a commercial software company, we prioritize our resources to our commercial offerings, which can mean that items like this can go overlooked on our freeware.
Please accept my apology for any challenge created for you. While not a long-term solution, I want to make sure you (and everyone else) understands that you can download a 30-day trial edition of our commercial software to give you a month to determine if you will go with our promo offer or move to another solution.
i do hope that you will choose to take us up on our offer, but understand if you have to go a different direction.
Sincerely,
Rick
Hi Rick,
Apologies accepted.
Thanks for letting me use your freeware product for so many years.
Wish you and your company all the best.
