I am struggled to enable the ASCII, Binary and Default radio setting when connecting to internal Secured FTP server. The “FTP/Rexec” option would not work because of the time-out connection loss after one minute. Is there a way to remove the grayed-out setting for ASCII, Binary and Default radio buttons. My work around is to use the standard FTP over port 21 with the ASCII radio button and re-ftp the secured FTP over port 22 with no change of the radio button.
Technically, SFTP is always binary - byte to byte exact transfer.
