Automation Designer - Folder Iterator cannot take file extension for Excel

I want to read the contents of a folder, copy the file to a static name (like A.xls), then import each file I find to append to A.xls. Eventually export the entire file. (maybe there is a better way than what I was planning).

Unfortunately, the only file extensions are listed in a drop down to choose from. Why can't I just type the extension myself of include windows software extensions, like .xls, xlsx, xlsm or mdb etc.?

Thanks.
John

It's true that we have some file extensions in the list, but you should be able to type in *.xls or whatever you want.

Does that work?

OMG, that didn't come to mind. So simple and it works fine. Thank you.
