automation designer scheduler

Hi,

I am trying to schedule a simple app that runs a sql script, outputs to an excel spreadsheet and then emails it. The job runs fine manually, however when I attempt to schedule the app I get the following message:

Error Registering Task

Reason: The referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged on to.

I do not know what account this is referring to. The Oracle account used for the sql statement is not locked nor is my windows account.

Help.

This error looks like it’s coming from windows task scheduler. I would recommend going to your windows task scheduler outside of Toad and trying to create
a similar task. This should give us a clue.

Hi Sam,

This error is returned by Windows when the task is registered. As Brad mentioned below, try creating the task outside of Toad – I expect it will most likely
fail.

If it doesn’t, based on a quick Google search, there are a number of reasons why this might happen. One reason might be that the SID being returned when authenticating
the Windows log in for the task is returned as “Nobody”. The following link talks about this issue, what causes it, and what you might need to do on the server to fix it.

http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/f8304099-d0bd-43dd-b0ec-6dfb4362ff44/the-referenced-account-is-currently-locked-out-and-may-not-be-logged-on-to?forum=w7itprosecurity

Another reason might be an issue with the options selected for running the task in Windows Vista and higher. The following is a MS hotfix that might help to
address this issue.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2548120

If you still run into issues with this, let us know what options you’re selecting when trying to save the task.

I created a batch file to run the sql script and scheduled it through the windows task scheduler. It worked fine. Our helpdesk says you can’t send an email
from a scheduled task. I removed the email action from the job, but I still cannot create a schedule from automation designer.
