To configure global settings:
Go to ** View
| Toad Options | Email Settings**.
Click ** Use
SSL** and click OK.
To configure Email Action settings:
Go to ** ‘Automation
Designer’ | Utilities (tab) | ‘Email’** (double-click the icon).
Double-click the new Email Action to open its properties.
Near the bottom of the Properties window, click ** Use
In the next beta, the Email Action will take its setting from the global settings in Toad Options.
You can de-select ** Use
SSL** in the Email Action’s properties, and that will not affect the global settings in
You can use edit controls for managing the list of recipients consistent with email clients.
- Recipients can be delimited by comma or semicolon.
- The user-name property of the outgoing mail server is no longer a required field. Not all mail servers require it.
- The “Password Required” check-box has been removed. If no password is required then don’t enter one.

The Options page for Email Settings has been redesigned to add a “Use SSL” checkbox and to use edit controls for managing the list of recipients consistent with email clients. Recipients are
delimited by comma or semi-colon.
The username property of the of the outgoing mail server is no longer a required field. Not all mail servers require it. Also, the “Password Required” checkbox has been removed. If one is not
required then don’t enter one into the edit control.
