Changing the Current Session Preference

When switching the Current Session in the Session bar it used to ask if i wanted the current tab to switch to the new session as well. I checked the remember the preference. Now I’d like to change what I saved as my preference, or not have it remember. How do I get that option back?

Hi there

To get the option again you need to delete a registry key.

Steps:

  • Close SQL Nav
  • Go into Regedit
  • Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Quest Software\SQL Navigator xx\Confirmation

(xx is the SQL nav Version you are using)

  • You will see a key called CONFIRMATION_SWITCH_SESSION
  • Delete that key and start nav again. Next time you switch the session you should get prompted as previous.

The only way to do it is to hack the registry key?? I don’t have admin privledges on the machine to do that!
