Thanks for the prompt reply.
I found a backup and restored it successfully.
I also tried the method of deleting the CodeSnippets.dat file (no customizations) and that was successful as well.

Unfortunately the file has become corrupt and any changes you had made to Code Snippets in 12.7 are lost.

If you have made customizations to your Code Snippets in a prior version of Toad and you still have the User Files lying around for it you can copy CodeSnippets.dat from the its user files folder to your 12.7 user files folder. The User Files folder will be located here by default… %APPDATA%\Quest\Toad for Oracle<TOAD_VERSION>\User Files. If you did not have customizations made then just delete CodeSnippets.dat from your 12.7 User Files folder and start Toad. The default set will be restored.
