Is there a way to copy the connections from v10 or v12.1 to 12.10? In v10 and 12.1 they are in an INI file where 12.10 they are in an XML file. Using the Import feature does not work either. Thank You
I just tested this and it worked for me to get 12.1 connections into 12.10:
- Start with both copies of Toad not running.
- Delete Connections.XML and ConnectionActions.ini from the 12.10 user files folder (for me, C:\Users\DEMO\AppData\Roaming\Dell\Toad for Oracle\12.10\User Files)
- Copy Connections.ini, ConnectionPwds.ini, and ConnectionActions.ini from 12.1 user files folder (for me, C:\Users\DEMO\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\12.1\User Files) into the 12.10 user files folder.
- Start 12.10 and the connections should import automatically. Connections.XML will be created and you can delete connections.ini and connectionpwds.ini after that. Or leave them there. They won’t get re-imported as long as the XML file exists.
Thank you I will try it.
