DB Links not shown in Treeview browser style

A strange and a bit misleading effect, we’ve discovered at one (and only one) Oracle Database.

We have two DB Links, which can be retrieved by SELECT * FROM sys.dba_db_links.

In both, the Tabbed and Dropdown browser style, the DB links are shown correctly, whereas according to the Schema Browser in Treeview style no DB Links do exist. Alledgedly.

This happens in Toad 25.2.376.6086 (32-bit) and Toad 24.2.275.4664 (64-bit).

Any ideas why the different Schema Browser browser styles come to different results here?

In the Treeview screen shot, you are looking at private links under the login schema.

To see Public DB links, expand "Other Schemas", then Public, then DB Links.

We added Treeview to appease users coming over from SQL Navigator. If I recall correctly, I just copied what they did.
