desribe command error thru sqlserver dblink

when i issue the desc command on toad , got an error object xxxx not found.

desc tablename@sqlserver_dblink;

this is working if i use sqlplus but not in toad.

can anyone help me to resolve this in toad. toadversion 10.6.1.3
