Hello, In Toad 9.6 there is the option to “Export as Flat File” using a customized layout which is saved in a specification file with a Toad assigned extension of .spk.
Is this ability to export a fixed width text file with user defined column widths available in Toad for Data Analysts? Thanks for your help.
Yes, This is available. Using the Export Wizard and Fixed Width type, push Next until you get to the page that displays the export table data. Here you can enter the width of each column. Save this as a template if you want to reuse for automation scripts or future use.
